Youth Esports Open Day
Together with our friends at PLE computer, we are setting up a Flaktest VIP area at RFLAN on Saturday 13 April 2019 with especially designed computers and a space to hang out!
This is a great opportunity for WA students to see what RFLAN is about, meet new gamers around Perth and even introduce their parents to this awesome event! And it’s FREE!
We are organising a Fortnite Duos tournament between 10am-1pm. We will be accepting registrations from 9.30am on the day, on a first in best served basis. We hope to see you there!
How to: Prepare for a match (for students) & finishing their first lesson
It’s not unusual for your students to be feeling uncertain of what to expect for their first match. The excitement of sharing their skill openly leaves them vulnerable and it is important to recognise that this is a significant step in their lives.
The first lesson they will complete for their tournament is: Week 1 – Setting goals, training schedules. The lesson will unlock on Monday 29th of April and will ask the students several questions around setting goals for themselves, their friends and their school and families. The goal of the first week is about being brave, facing their vulnerabilities and setting goals that matter to themselves and others. Each week students will be asked to complete each lesson as this will build into a personal report for them and the school. Further information on how the report can be used to assess students and as a diagnostic tool will be available next week!
We will be sending across more information regarding the first weeks lesson, including objectives and teacher guides to help deliver information to your students.
And that’s a wrap for the week! Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
